2018 Softball Home Run Derby

Two Championship Belts for the price of one? A New family to help with an incredible story? Will you hit homers for our families in need?  Joe Quenet (’17 Fall Derby Champ) and TJ Gardner (’17 Summer Derby Champ) are putting their belts on the line this year in our only softball derby of 2018.

We are raising money for families who are struggling with paying everyday bills due to a tragic event or medical hardship. For every $10 donated, the donor’s name will automatically be entered into a “thank you raffle” to try to win a 32′ Smart TV. Drawing will be held November 30th 2018.

The first 30 players to raise $250 will be asked to participate; 3 minute at bats; no outs; The type of softballs are yet to be determined (we will update this page), but you can use any type of bat you like; 3 rounds- the number of players will go from 30 to 15 to 7 in the final round; The highest scores advance (pay close attention to the fundraising advantages and tie breaker rules). There are 2 fences, a short fence 250 feet away and the actual stadium home run fence approx. 325 $250 min to be the event. As you raise more money, your home run point values incase:

Amount / Short Fence / Long Fence

$250   /  1 pt  /   2 pts

$500   /   1 pt  /   3 pts

$1,000   /   2 pts /  3 pts

$2,500- Skip round 1 entirely. (Veteran bonus cannot be used for this)

$5,000- Skip both rounds entirely and got straight to finals (Veteran bonus cannot be used for this)

The batting lineup is made by the order in which you raise money. Bigger fundraisers bat last. Tie-Break rules are based on fundraising as well. Whoever raised more money wins the tiebreaker. The championship CAN and has been, decided on this rule.
