ALL TIME STATS

Fundraising All-Time Stats:

  • We have had over 100 different baseball and softball players participate in at least one event, but most have done multiple events.

  • The single biggest “individual fundraiser” is the team of Brian McDermott and John O’Brien. In their three years, they have raised over $15,000 for other families in need. This is remarkable because Brian McDermott was once a beneficiary family.  Since recovering from his injury he has begun his quest to help others.

  • The biggest single year fund raiser was again the team of Brian McDermott and Shaun Vernesoni who in one year raised over $5,150 – (2017).

  • The average amount raised for any of the baseball teams (Red team or Blue Team) is $260 per player per year.

  • The average amount raised for derby participants in one year (Baseball or Softball) is $700 per player per year.

NO SURRENDER AWARD WINNERS:

While the Roscioli family is the reason homers for hope exists, and the Championship award is named for Rip Roscioli, the very first official family was the Conlan Family of Folsom PA.   This award was created to embody the passion for life that the late Tom Conlan had, and his never give up (or no surrender) attitude. Tom lived life to the fullest right up until the end and this award serves as a symbol of strength from one family to another, that no matter how hard life is, you can never surrender and you must strive to always help others no matter what life throws at you!:

  • 2017 > Norbeck-Ladislaw Family

  • ’16 > Gonzalez and Liples family
  • ’15 > Burkhart Family
  • ’14 > McDermott Family
  • ’13 > Lavelle Family
