MEET THE WOLFINGER FAMILY

Meet The Wolfinger Family from Bridesburg and Pennsauken

Kids with cancer are often considered heroes, brave, courageous…

Meet Rhen Wolfinger, WARRIOR!!! The handsome, wide-eyed, precious son of Chelsea Sauerwald and Ryan Wolfinger. The Wolfinger family is from the local areas of Bridesburg, PA, and Pennsauken, NJ., and Rhen needs your help!

Shortly after celebrating his 1st birthday this February, Rhen was unfortunately diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Cancer… the dreaded word no child, parent, or family should have to hear.

After multiple tests within the next week, it was determined that it is a very aggressive gene that is difficult to treat, and surgery is not on the table right now. Rhen will have to endure a year and half of treatments including chemotherapy, intense surgery, more intense chemotherapy, radiation therapy and immunotherapy.

While facing the emotional strain of dealing with Rhen’s diagnosis, Chelsea and Ryan are facing a significant financial strain as well. Ryan is currently working when he can between stays in hospital. Chelsea is graduating school in June, but due to hospital trips and doctor visits she is unsure if work is a possibility right away.

Sign up now to take part in the 2024 Homers for Hope “Soles” Softball Home Run Derby. All proceeds will help the Wolfingers pay their everyday household bills while they fight the battle with Rhen.
