MEET THE REED FAMILY

Meet the Reed Family from Hatboro, PA.

The Reed family of Hatboro are no strangers to the fight against cancer. Ashley and Drew are parents to Aly, who rang the bell signifying the end of her treatment in February 2021. She walked away stronger and braver than anyone could have imagined.

However, after 2.5 years, Aly’s Leukemia relapsed on September 27th, 2023, the day before her 12th birthday. She now has ahead of her, nearly two years of Chemotherapy, spinal taps, and blood transfusions. But the family remains positive knowing how strong and upbeat Aly has remained through everything.

Ashley has had to cut back her work hours to only weekends, as she spends the week on regular trips to CHOP and has had multiple hospital overnight stays that have turned into week-long stays. The driving is non-stop. She will be using a wheelchair due to the lack of energy after walking and other therapies.

The Reed family is also familiar with Homers for Hope, because even while Aly was going through her initial treatment, they attended a fundraising event Homers organized for the Krysko family back in 2019. So, it’s time for Homers for Hope and our supporters to step up to the plate for the Reed family during this time of need.
